Attitude is contagious.

So - I'm working on a post about negativity and I need some help. This part of losing the weight was the biggest.  I mean, THE BIGGEST.  I owe getting through it to Sherri (she probably doesn't know that). But, she doesn't have a cool blog I can link you to.  (what gives, Sherri? ;-)  Anyway - I had to get rid of the negativity in my life - tricky thing was, I didn't really realize it was negativity for a long while.  And, one night at the gym, Sherri let me bend her ear about the issue at hand (like she always does, thanks again Sherri) and it finally made sense.  So, now I need YOUR help.

Tell me blog readers (I know you're out there, so post already!).....

What types of negativity exist in your life and how do you let them impact you?
Does the negativity impact your health/fitness or your ability to lose weight?  How so?

*more coming on this topic soon*

You know I had to post something...

When it comes to running I have a tendency to compare myself to everyone else out running and I feel like a slow boat, and a weak runner, and lose sight of the fact that I am out there doing miles for me...just me..no one else...so sometimes I have to put myself in check and forget the "crowd" in the race, and just keep "me" in mind.

I agree...attitude and negativity can make or break your workout and/or journey! For me, my negativity comes in the form of perfectionism. I find that if I wasn't able to achieve the predetermined amount of exercise I wanted to do or eat exactly as I planned for the day I get down on myself instead of looking at the big picture. I'm really trying to work on this one!!!

Feeling guilty. Having minor setbacks. Those turn into negative thoughts...just need to keep focused and stay realistic!!!
