Oh my. It seems it's been a while since I've blogged about my gym-ness, no? I'm still hitting it, hard. Been doing 2 hours 5 days a week for the past 3ish weeks. I've slept more than ever, which is good, b/c clearly I need it! My calorie burn is lower, but I'm not worried. I think part of it is that it takes a LOT more to get my heart rate up. But, I'm told not to make a big deal over it, so I'll move on.

Still working out with Jessica - still dying when I do, lol. She's really figured out what makes me tick lately and she uses it when I'm ready to quit - I like that she knows I want to be pushed and doesn't let me tell her no. That's exactly what I wanted in a trainer. She rocks. So, if you're a member of BB and you are reading this, go sign up, it'll change your life, honest.

That said - I'm *considering* embarking on a new journey. The fitness bug has really bitten me - I have grown to love group fitness and am flirting with the idea of (attempting) to become an instructor. I'm worried I'll let my own goals go though and that it will become "work" and not something I enjoy. But on the other hand I love inspiring other women to work harder, go faster, and do more than they think they can. The real question: would I be any good?! We have so many fabulous instructors at BB. They are a LOT to live up to! So, now it's written down and not just in my head. Who knows where it'll go. I guess we'll see in time.

Meanwhile, I hope to keep inspiring my friends. I'm super proud of Miss Melissa, who's lost 34+ pounds to date. (You can catch her blog over on the side of mine at AJayhawk'sNewLife). I've got to get the drive to get into the gym more on weekends. I've done the last 2, so I've gotta keep that up. Also considering adding a morning workout to my routine 3 days a week. That would mean training for 3 hours on those days, one in the morning and two at night. Jessica says it'll step it up, so I should start going to bed earlier and getting up and doing it!

So, to those of you wondering how to make a change. Honestly, just get up and do it. Walk around the block, call a friend and ask for help, go to that weight watchers meeting, drop the cookies and chips and make a better choice. Ignore fad diets and things that seem too good to be true - b/c they ARE! Move your butt, eat decent food with the occassional splurge and you'll change your life. I don't want to be a bad role model for my (future) kids or for the kids I teach or for my family, my husband etc. for that matter. I will get to my goal and I hope the rest of you do too!

I like this quote ^^^^. It reminds me of when I do a class at BB. I never save myself. Even if I plan on 2.5 classes back to back. If I'm going to be there, why waste the time? I'm NOT going to die from it. I'm not going to sweat too much, or look silly or do anything like that. The only thing I'm doing is CHEATING! I see people all the time cheat themselves out of the class they're taking. Why do that? What does going to the gym do if you're just going through the motions?
If I'm going to spend time away from my family I'm going to give it everything I've got from start to finish. I'd like to challenge anyone and everyone reading this (do people read this? comments? lol) to do the same. Oh, and please, no more humping the air during pushups - get your booty down already! hahaha
